Shard Jewelry Workshop
If ever you have broken your favorite tea cup, the last piece in your grandmother's cherished china set or basically any other piece of china you love? You can now memorialize its pieces in a beautiful crafts project rather than having to toss them out with the trash and feel guilty about it. The ability to rescue broken objects and transform them into something beautiful, different, and new can be very satisfying – especially in that it reduces the waste that ends up in the landfills every year. These make wonderful, unique and original gifts for anyone in your family. Put them on key chains or tie tacks for the guys or jewelry for the gals.
Where: Avalon Stained Glass School & Creativity Center
When: 9 am to 5 pm CT or any 3 or 4 hour sessions that fit your busy schedule.
Your choice of workshop day
This workshop takes about 8-9 hours to create 12 to 13 pieces of jewelry and you can come in 3 or 4 hour increments during our daily schedule, all day during our daily schedule or Tuesday or Thursday evenings 5 to 8 pm CT or Saturday mornings 9 am to noon CT.
You will need to bring your pieces of shard or a plate or cup that you intend to break and immortalize and we will supply the rest of the materials and teach you how to solder. Just call us to reserve your date, fill in the form and return with your check.
This workshop is for beginners or intermediates and is limited to 6 students.
Workshop Fee: $189.00
Alumni who have taken and completed any kind of Avalon workshop may deduct $50.00
